Well, I did it! I managed to take a photo every single day for the past year. I started a few days late last year so that's why I have 3 days of 2009 as part of this. Watch for a new blog for my Project 365 2009.

The gate was loose before we left and dh tried to secure it the morning we left. We expected that part to be down when we got home but it wasn't...this whole section on the other side was down.

We flew home today, but enjoyed some time in the pool at the hotel before heading to the airport.

December 31, 2008 Wiped Out!

Back in Florida on our last night of vacation. The hotel didn't have the roll away that we had requested so the boys ended up sleeping together on the sofa bed...they don't settle down when they're in the same room let alone the same bed. It took quite a while for them to go to sleep.

December 30, 2008 Our luggage

This is our pile of luggage outside our door. We had to put our bags out on our last night so that they could be offloaded once we got back to the port in Florida. The top 2 duffles are full of dirty laundry...we bring the duffles empty just so that we can put all our dirty clothes in them.

S and I buried E in the sand at the beach in Grand Turk. The boys had a blast playing in the sand for hours.

Day 356 St. Kitts

Our next stop was St. Kitts. We decided to just get off the ship and check out the local shops and craft market. Here are the boys getting "attacked" by the piranas at Pirana Joes.

Day 355 St. Maarten

Our first port of call was St. Maarten. We took a water taxi from the pier and did a bit of shopping before stopping at the beach for some fun in the sun.

Day 354 Merry Christmas!

The boys participated in a holiday show along with the singers and dancers on the ship. E's group did a dance to a rap song and S's group sang 2 Christmas songs and 1 Hanukkah song. After the performance, the Jolly Ole' Fella made an appearance and all the kids got gifts.

First day of our cruise...we went up to the sports deck for sail away...it was super windy so I'm ot posting pictures of us with our hair blowing and our eyelids flapping...LOL. Here are the boys sitting by one of the holes of the mini golf course.

We only celebrated one night of Hanukkah at home and the rest were at sea. The boys got Target gift cards and a DS game from my parents and a Lil Kinz from dh and I.

In the midst of packing today, some of E's friends (all girls) dropped by and all the kids were goofing in the backyard...including one that "accidentally" fell in the pool. At one point there were 4 kids on the roof of this poor playhouse.

In addition to white chocolate Chex mix and puppy chow, I made the teachers elastic bookmarks with beads and charms. I bought the one in the book above at a craft show and then bought the supplies and made them myself. All the teachers really seemed to like them.

My brother and his family came here this weekend to visit. My niece is a senior in highschool and one of our local schools is in her top 5 list. Fingers crossed that she gets accepted and decides to go to school here. So, here we have S, myself, my niece, my brother, my SIL, my nephew and E (dh took the picture so that's why he's not in it).

Today I subbed for one of our Art teachers...but all the specials teachers were helping with the Juvenile Diabetes walk. So, I walked with all the classes (K-6) and ended up walking a total of about 9 miles.

Every Monday after school the boys have running club. They have to run a certain number of laps and they earn plastic foot tokens each time they reach that number.

Well, one grown up and two boys of course. The boys were trying to help dh change a bulb in the eaves. The metal casing of the bulb got stuck up there and the glass part of the bulb came out so now we still have to get the metal part out. Does anyone have a 30 ft. ladder we can borrow?

Day 272 Power Outage

So we're eating dinner around 6pm when the power goes out. We hear sirens so we turn on our scanner to find out that a power box has caught fire. We go out to check it out (along with a bunch of other people we know from the neighborhood) and find that the main box for our section of the neighborhood caught fire. The fire chief (guy in the white t-shirt) lives behind us so he was out there trying to get things moving so that we get our power back (and he can watch the game) and we're told a few hours. Well, some areas got their power back around 9pm, but ours was out until 5am the next morning. Good thing we have a generator and were able to plug our fridge and freezer into that and run it for the night.

Homework and snack time. This is like the bewitching hour at home. Sometimes it goes smoothly, but most of the time it's hard to get the boys to concentrate and get things done.

In case anyone out there is still looking at my Project 365 I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here. The hard drive on my notebook bit the dust last week and while my wonderful dh was able to rebuild the system, I lost all my saved work...photos, e:mails, documents, etc. Thank goodness I still had the pictures on my camera and was able to download them again to load here. So, check back for some recent photos...they'll be here soon.

Day 269 Wii Fit

I try to change up my workouts so that I'm not doing the same thing each day. Today was Wii Fit day and I did advanced step aerobics...along with a long distance run, hula hoop and boxing.

I subbed for a kindergarten class today at a school other than the one my boys go to. It was kind of weird going to a new school and not knowing where anything was.
