Day 209 My golfers

Today was the last day of golf camp for the boys. They got to go out on the course and golf 5 holes...they loved it. They asked me to go along so I got to drive my own golf cart and I followed them.

Day 208 Skee ball anyone?

S's best friend is moving to Colorado next week so his mom invited the boys to a great family entertainment place for bowling and arcade games. Of course I couldn't resist getting in on the arcade action...I did bowl too.

Day 207 Watch out below!

Sometimes they give me gray hairs when they're performing their "tricks". No wonder I have to color my hair...LOL.

Day 206 More photos?

I'm surprised I actually got both of them smiling. E had a funny squinty look on his face so I threw my sunglasses on him.

Day 205 My Pool Boy

Dh was brushing the pool...gotta keep up with his job as the pool boy right?

Day 204 It's HOT!!!!

Dh was brushing/cleaning the pool, the boys were playing and I was just chillaxin.

Day 203 Musical Chairs

I went out to pick up our pizza for dinner (Friday night is pizza night) and came home to find that dh had moved the kitchen table. Just thought it was funny that he was rearranging furniture in the short time I was gone.

Day 202 From mad to this...

When we were leaving the house, S was mad because I told him we weren't going to buy any Legos at the store. So, he went from mad to this in a matter of minutes.

Day 201 A view and a little help

As I was driving the boys home from golf camp I took this shot of the empty golf course (at least nobody was on that part at the time).

Normally I can't get E to help in the kitchen so when he offered to help make tacos I took him up on his offer.

Memory Lane

I found this on Kellie's blog. It's kind of a fun thing to read and share our memories. Join in and play!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory you and I have together, whether you know me well or hardly at all. Just anything that comes to mind... that's nice and good and happy, please. ;o)

2. Next, repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me I'll assume you are playing and I will come post my memory about you on your blog. If you don't have a blog, I'll post my memory of you here on mine!

Day 200 Think it needs a trim?

Since none of the plants I brought here from CA lived (they must not have liked the weather here), I had to buy a plant here. It has thrived and now really needs to be trimmed. So, how do I trim it and what do I do with the clippings? Come on out all you green thumbs...I need some help.

Day 199 Off to their lessons

The boys are heading in for a week of golf camp. Now they want to know when they can get a tee time and golf 18 holes.

Day 198 Boys' new sports equipment

Boys have finally found a sport that they like. So, we got them each a set of clubs...S golfs right handed and E golfs left handed (although he does everything else right handed).

Day 197 A view from the front yard

When dh went out to get the newspaper this morning, this is what he saw right over our front yard.

Day 196 A boy and his birthday dessert

We went to Buca di Beppo for dinner to celebrate E's birthday. We always enjoy going there and sitting at the kitchen table. We know the managers and chefs so it's a lot of fun to sit in there with them. After dinner, all the staff that was in the kitchen at the time sang happy birthday to E. Here he is with a mouth full of maraschino cherries.

Day 195 Happy 10th Birthday E!

It's hard to believe, but I have a 10 year old. Where has the time gone? Happy birthday buddy. We love you!

Day 194 Flowers

I wanted to take more photos of all these sunflowers, but the boys thought I was nuts. Perhaps another day and with a better camera...I took this with my phone.

Day 193 What a great way to wake up.

I can't remember the last time I had this, but here it is...pink eye. UUGGHH!!

Day 192 RC Dragon Fly

E got this really cool remote control dragon fly for his birthday. The boys had a blast flying it around.

Day 191 Fish sitting

This is Reggie...he belongs to friends of ours. We have been fish sitting while they've been on vacation for the past 2 weeks.

Day 190 A Barrel Of...

why peanuts of course. The restaurant we went to tonight gives you a bucket of peanuts on your table and it's one of those places where you throw your peanut shells on the floor.

Day 189 Take Me Out to the Ballgame

We went to a minor league baseball game (our local team won) and we had great seats on the first base line. That piece of wood sticking out of the grass is part of a broken bat. There were several broken bats and even a grand slam home run (our team) during the game. We finished out the evening with a great fireworks display. Oh, and the boys had their names on the scoreboards for their birthdays.

Day 188 Splash!

Took the boys to a water park and we all had a blast. This slide is really cool because you can go down in pairs and race. S is racing his best friend's mom here...ummm...S won.

Day 187 Ahhhh heaven!

This is my float and I don't like to share it...LOL. Okay, that's really because the kids ripped my last one so I've told them they can't use this one unless they want to pay to replace it. The boys were snorkeling in the pool and I was floating around watching them.

Day 186 What a cute dog

It's kind of hard to see, but there is the cutest basset hound in the front seat of this truck. There were some people doing work at the house nextdoor and the dog was just hanging out. When we got home and got out of the van, the dog moved into the drivers seat (I didn't get the picture until he moved back over) and was whimpering at the boys. Guess he wanted to get out and play.

Day 185 Getting fit

We have all really been getting a lot of use out of our Wii Fit. S is doing step aerobics and E is doing a free run.

Day 184 FOUR!

We took the boys out to the driving range to hit a few buckest of balls. Dh was helping E with his stance. E is actually right handed, but golfs better left handed.

Day 183 Soaked

Dh and S were washing both of our vehicles when dh turned the hose on S. We tried to get dh back later, but he turned the water off to fast.

Day 182 Happy 4th of July!

A local park by us has a 4th of July festival every year, but we normally stay home to watch the fireworks because we can see them really well from S's bedroom window. We decided to go out tonight to watch them though. Of course after we got home and the boys were in bed the neighbors put on their own show. Have to mention that there were signs all over town saying that fireworks are illegal in our city. Guess the neighbors missed that memo. And the evening ended with the fire chief (he lives behind us) showing up with lights flashing at the neighbors' house to issue them a citation for setting off fireworks.

Day 181 Day Camp

Boys went to day camp this week. This is the cool bus they get to ride on to their field trips.

Day 180 Traffic

Nothing to exciting today. I was stuck sitting at this light through 2 cycles so I figured I'd just snap a shot of traffic.

Day 179 An addition to my garden

In CA we had these great pencil cactus plants that we took as clippings from my aunts garden. We brought some clippings when we moved here, but by the time the house was built and we could plant them they were too dried up. So, a few weeks ago, dh found a pencil cactus at the store and bought it for me. I finally got it planted and that was no easy task. The ground was so hard that I had to take a pick ax to it to dig the hole. But here it is. They grow really fast so I can't wait to see it in a few more weeks.

Day 178 FOR SALE!

For those that "know" me and are members of my mommy board you will know how much this for sale sign means to us. The house nextdoor is finally for sale. The family has not been there for about a year as they moved to FL for work. But, the house sat full of all of their stuff and they had people here and there living there, taking care of the place. To actually know that it's for sale and that they're not coming back is a relief.

Day 177 Pool boy

Ah, what fun...NOT! Dh took apart the pool equipment so that we could clean out all the filters and such. You can see one of the filters before being cleaned behind him and what one looks like partially cleaned. It was a big project (and the boys gave up helping) so dh and I finished up the task.

Day 176 How about some dinner with that attitude?

We go out to eat once a week (on Saturday) and tonight E decided to have an attitude at dinner and not eat anything. So here he is later in the evening (at home) eating his chicken strips and mashed potatoes from the restaurant.

Day 175 Strike!

Not the greatest photos, but I took them with my phone. At the end of the school year, the boys each brought home a card for one free game of bowling each day during the summer. We've only gone once so far, but I think we'll go again next week.

Day 174 Water Park Fun!

We love going to the local water park as you can tell from this picture of S. He was saying "awesome" as he got up. Nothing like a park close to home that only costs a few $'s per person.
