Day 88 The boy who won't smile

This boy is just like his daddy...he hardly ever smiles in photos.

Day 87 Finally found some bluebonnets

Finally found a place to take our annual bluebonnet photos. I think we'll go back tomorrow though and take some without the chain link fence behind us.

Day 85 Not feeling well

Nothing very exciting today, so this is it...the pool after dark.

Day 82 Warm and cozy!

I just finished making this blanket for the hubby. I made each of the boys one yesterday but my old bones couldn't sit on the floor last night through another blanket. So...dh had to wait until today for his. We have other blankets like this, but these new ones I made are bigger.

Day 81 Delicious breakfast!

Mmmmm good! I made this apple pancake for breakfast this morning and man was it delish!

Day 80 Boys are gross!

Would someone please tell me why boys are so gross! I have another gross photo, but I didn't think you'd all want to see it...I have a broken blood vessel in my eye and I had dh take a photo of it...S won't even look at me...LOL.

Day 79 A day off from school

The boys didn't have school today so I took them miniature golfing...they cheat...LOL.

Day 78 4th Grade Field Trip

I was a chaperone on E's field trip today and here we are sporting our funky 3D glasses as we wait for the Grand Canyon 3D movie to begin in the IMAX theater. We all had a great time today, but we're totally exhausted!

Day 77 I love spring!

This is a shot of one of our rose bushes in the front yard. I'm so happy to see everything in our yard starting to bloom.

Day 76 Walkin in the rain

I walked with a friend this morning after dropping the boys off at school. About 3/4 of the way through our walk it started to rain. This is what my clothes looked like by the time our walk was over.

***Just had to add this other picture. Seth was trying so hard to help last night after dinner (think he was scrounging for some extra allowance...LOL). He helped wash dishes and then he wanted to vaccum the rug in the family room. Hey, I'll take any help he wants to offer.

Day 75 15 years of wedded bliss

The hubby and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary yesterday with dinner out at a Japanese steakhouse sans kiddos. It was delicious!

Day 74 A room with a view

This is what the view from our bedroom should look like all the time. Just prior to taking this photo, the bed and both chairs were piled with either folded laundry or laundry waiting to be folded. I'm happy to say that all of it was done and put away.

Day 73 A trip to the zoo

I think we covered every single animal at the zoo. Boy were we tired last night. But, we all had fun.

Day 72 Happy Birthday to Me

Dh and the boys got me a bouquet of beautiful flowers, this cake and a gift card to the store of my chosing. We went out for yummy Chinese food for dinner. All in all a great day.

Day 71 Children's Museum

The boys had a blast building in the workshop at the children's museum. And there's daddy in the background on his "Crackberry".

Day 70 Getting ready for a ride

Helping Poppa change the tubes in the tires before heading out for a ride around the neighborhood.

Day 69 The grandparents have arrived

Woohoo...my mommy and daddy are here! Of course the boys had to rush outside soon after we got home from the airport to show off their bikes. And as is our tradition on the first night they arrive...good old fashioned Texas BBQ for dinner...mmmmm!

Day 68 Spring break day 1

Aahh yes...first day of spring break and it was pouring rain. Raindrops keep falling in my pool...and the view out the kitchen window. At least it cleared up later in the day and this was the sunset behind the neighbors' house across the street.

Day 67 Haircuts

I have been buzzing the boys hair for years now, but they decided that they want to let it grow a bit. Well, they needed at least a trim and they wanted to get it done somewhere. So, off to the local kids place we went.

Day 66 Here they grow again

I swear we just bought him new shoes, but his feet have grown again. So, here is S trying on his new shoes.

Day 63 TAKS test day

Today was the TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) writing test for Ethan and these are my before and after TAKS test photos for today. TAKS is the mandatory state testing that all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders have to take. If you ask me, I think they should just do away with the testing completely.

Day 61 What yucky weather does

The satellite radio in my van was out all morning because of the cloudy, overcast, rainy weather.

Day 60 The spreading begins

Today we spread the mulch in the front yard...next weekend we'll do the back. It was a family project and both of the boys actually helped out quite a bit.

Day 59 Weekend work

Every year the local Boy Scouts sell mulch as a fundraiser. So, here's what was delivered to our house today. We'll start spreading it tomorrow. Fun times I tell ya.
